{dropcap}I{/dropcap}tai Makumbe, one of two Zimbabwean housemates in Big Brother Revolution returned home on Tuesday to a carnival welcome at the Harare International Airport. The party goes on tonight at Stars Nite Club which will host Itai’s eviction party.
DJ’s TBass and PStyles, who are hosting the party, told The Zimbo Jam that the party would be “heavy”. “We’re expecting a full house and are taking out some of the chairs so there’s enough room to dance,” they said.

^ Itai Makumbe speaks to journalists at a press conference a few hours after returning to Zimbabwe (Meikles Hotel, Harare, 8 December 2009).
Kristal Culverwell, the second housemate, whose eviction party was also “heavy” is expected to be in attendance.
Last year’s housemate Big Brother Africa housemate Munya Chidzonga will be emceeing at the Be Summer Fashion Week Grand Slam Night at Pandhari Lodge in Glen Lorne and may also pop in for the eviction party later in the night.

Itai said that being in the Big Brother house had taught him a few lessons, one being that we take our freedom and our loved ones for granted. “Spending so much time cooped up in the house with no contact with the outside world reminds you of the things that are really important,” he said, “without our loved ones we are nothing really.”
Itai will be resuming his studies at Africa University next year. He is doing a Masters in Peace & Governance.
