The Arthur C. Evans show hosted by the energetic – Surprise! Surprise! – Arthur C. Evans (A.C.E.) and produced by Trevor Trey Ncube has created a platform that seeks to inspire Zimbabweans and Africans at large by exposing them to other locals who have done well against sometimes immeasurable odds.
A plethora of talk shows in Africa have put a lot of emphasis on gaining positive audience reviews by merely focusing on the entertainment aspect without getting valuable insights which audiences find useful as pillars for emulation and learning.
Arthur engages his guests in a candid and thought provoking manner, prodding deeply to encourage guests to reveal information which they may be reluctant to share, but which completes the picture about why their journeys have been so significant.
It creates a certain intimacy with audiences, hearing new information from their idols or icons for the first time on television. Arthur does this well.
The vibrant talk show debuted on Zambezi Magic, DStv Channel 160, on November 5, 2016. It broadcasts on Saturdays at 1830 hours.
The talk show deals with global burning topics, trend setters, celebrities and innovators across the African continent and albeit focusing on entertainment, the ultimate goal is to foster positive behaviour change by exposing audiences to inspiring guests.
“Every person that watches an episode will at its conclusion feel elevated and enthused with a desire to change their situation for the better” said Arthur Evans.
Presently, the show has 13 episodes and guests have included Oliver Mutukudzi, Calvin, Maps Maponyane, Ammara Brown, Clive Chigubhu, Thato Molamu and Motlatsi Mafatshe amongst other influential figures.
