Zim Gossip Models, which is organising the event, has started registrations of contestants for the pageant. The requirements are simple- you need to have curves.
Pageant founder Mercy Mushaninga commented, “We have started scouting for hour glass models, and this year we have added three more towns; Bindura, Masvingo, and Chinhoyi.”
Last year the pageant drew participants from Harare and Bulawayo and was won by then 24-year-old University of Zimbabwe student, Tanya Chikuni.
The vivacious Chikuni beat 15 other curvaceous contestants. She won a return trip to Victoria Falls, two nights at a Rainbow Tourism Group hotel of her choice, free hairdos at Red Rose Hair salons for six months and US$1 000 cash.
Her first and second princesses were 26-year-olds Bekezela Mlalazi from Bulawayo and Jacquie Mahaja from Harare respectively.
Pretty Nyathi, Catty Chanetsa, Sharon Munetsi, Jacqueline Mashingaidze, Nomsa Ncube, Thobekile Mabhena and Nyasha Matonhodze were the other curvy women who made it to the final ten of the contest.
Chikuni was also a finalist for Miss Zimbabwe last year.
