Urban Grooves Bad Boy Roki is one of seven celebrity housemates from around the continent who will enter the Big Brother Africa House when the seventh season of the popular reality show, themed ‘StarGame’, starts on Sunday May 6, 2012.

This news was revealed today, Thursday May 3, just 24 hours after images of the newly designed house were released.

The talented Roki (27), who has been dogged with many problems in his personal and professional life gave a rousing performance at the recent Miss Zimbabwe 2012 Pageant, accompanied by on-and-off girlfriend-cum-wife (no one is sure anymore), Pauline Gundidza. These have included arrest for possession of splif, fathering up to four children with four different mothers, being dumped several times by Pauline for allegedly physically abusing her and failure to turn up on time for gigs, among others.

The Zimbabwean musician will be joined in the house by Ghana’s stylish entertainer, stand-up comedian and television pro, DKB (26), Kenyan rap star, Prezzo (32), award-winning Namibian female singer, Lady May (25), pop music sensation Goldie (28) from Nigeria, famed South African socialite, model and businesswoman Barbz from South Africa (34) and successful Zambian R&B diva,  Mampi (25).

For now, the names and ages of the celebrities is all that Big Brother has revealed. How they will play the game or fit into the doubles theme, still remains to be seen.

Commenting on the series, M-Net Africa Managing Director, Biola Alabi, said she was pleased with the response it was getting; “It’s super to see the high level of interaction StarGame is getting from fans, media and viewers. The guessing around who the housemates will be; people trying to work out what Biggie is planning; the rumours and the speculation; it all adds to the excitement. It’s great for the show to get this type of support from the Big Brother community who really do engage with it, even before it starts on air. I want to thank them and promise that we’re working hard to deliver a great series.
