Roki flew into South Africa last night, August 2, 2012, ahead of a number of performances lined up for this weekend in Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Buoyed by his recent appearance on the Big Brother StarGame reality show, Roki has seen his flagging musical career take off once again.

Barely a week after his eviction from the house, he performed as one of the opening acts at a sold-out concert featuring Oliver Mtukudzi and Sulumani Chimbetu at the Harare International Conference Centre.

Since then he has been busy with press interviews and gigs at various venues around Zimbabwe. He recently cancelled a scheduled appearance at the Book Café for a trip to Zambia where he is reported to have wowed fans, stealing the limelight from his host and former fellow housemate on the Big Brother show, Mampi aka ‘Thunder Thighs’.

Zambia’s Daily Mail reported, “Apart from coming with his own band for the show, Roki’s performance was simply classy. His stage work, too, was world class as it was clear the artiste had rehearsed quite a great deal with his band as well as his three dancers.”

"Fire works is the only word that describes what awaits the fans," Roki told the promoters of his South African tour, Lainos Tachi and Brighton Brightheart Matava of Latti films and Kalahari IT Solutions.

The Pretoria show tonight takes place at Club Marafco tonight, August 3, and the other show details are yet to be announced.

The "Chidzoka" hitmaker will be supported by Trinta, Linx and Sean1. On the decks will be DJ Commander, DJ Jangwa, DJ Munya, DJ Tachi and, all the way from Dubai, DJ Nelz.

Roki is accompanied by his band members, including baby mamas Pauline Gundidza and Melody Musekiwa.
