This week Zimbo Jam heads to Bulawayo for a catch up tour of the city’s cultural scene and an interesting schedule of social media and photography training for some young people from Mpilo Hospital.

Zimbo Jam, in conjunction with sister site DefZee and digital media consultancy firm Perspectives Communications will conduct training for teenagers and young adults who have recently gone through a writing workshop with AmaBooks. The idea is for the young people to be able to merge their writing skills with social media to reach a wider audience.

Also in the line up for them is blogging training which will be conducted by Her Zimbabwe’s Fungai Machirori.

Besides the training, during our week in Bulawayo we plan to meet artists, arts administrators and arts fans alike. We want to hlokoloza in Mzilikazi & Pelandaba and party with the princes and princesses of the city of kings.

For me, going back to skies is always special as I get to revisit the streets upon which I did most of my growing up. Ola Milton!!

So if you’re an artist in Bulawayo, do get in touch and let’s link up and share the magic that you are creating with all the Zimbo Jam readers and fans out there.
