Journalists Ish Mafundikwa and Sandra Mlambo are reflected in a glass partition during a tour of the new National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) roof. In the background natural light streams through domes into the gallery’s library.
The gallery’s roof recently underwent a US$500, 000 renovation.
Raphael Chikukwa leads a tour of the roof and explains the changes made. Transluscent domes and panels on the roof let natural light into the gallery. Gravel has been laid over kaylite in a creative drainage solution that replaced hundreds of concrete slabs.
