The ‘Summer Night Concert’ results in epidemic

Saturday night, at Twin Rivers school, a serious skin epidemic broke out. The contagion was a direct result of a plot hatched by Minky Walters and Sound Event Management. The dissemination of the disease was realised through human weapons in the form of Josh Ansley, Molly Dzangare, Nigel Hopkins, Phillip Hanly and the Twin Rivers Choir! No person in the area of containment (the assembly hall) was left unscathed.

Simba Savannah promotes African innovation on, off screen

Only two weeks ago, the reality TV show, ‘Simba Savannah’, launched on ZBC. This show promotes innovation through a competitive pitch process. Africa is pushing to make its mark on the world with home-grown solutions as part of the ‘local is lekker’ movement.  Zimbabwe is certainly not going to be left behind in this conversation!

Creating theSpace for Zimbabwean youth to thrive

A bold initiative, launched in Harare last year to support Zimbabwean youth with business opportunities and to create a civic engagement platform, is starting to bear fruit. This initiative, known as "theSpace", brings together individuals from different sectors of society in a quest to re-imagine Zimbabwe and co-create a globally conscious cohort of open-minded individuals dedicated to local and international socio-economic growth. After a successful run last year, which resulted in a more engaged community, this year is poised to be even better with buy-in from embassies, government and youth.

Thulani Nzonzo is lighting up the Zimbabwean stage

Thulani Nzonzo, a 17 year-old Zimbabwean talent, has been popping up on the Zim creative scene, especially at Reps Theatre and Saint George’s College where he learns. He is a rare talent and a pleasure to watch. The young boy has broken boundaries and has worked hard to be recognised in the drama scene from a young age.
