Marietta is not a singer because she married a farmer

Russian pianist Alexis Golovin performed at the Harare International School this afternoon. We won’t tell you about the performance- you can read about it on the main Zimbo Jam site. We’ll tell you instead about an old woman we met there who goes by the name of Marietta and who loved Golovin’s music so much  that she went up to him after the show to thank him.

Marietta (78) told Zimbo Jam that she wanted to be a singer as a younger woman, but she married a farmer and that ended her musical dream.
