- What is it?
We are an information centre for Chitungwiza whereby we market and promote Chitungwiza by highlighting Trade, Cultural, Sport activities through Exhibitions, Workshops, Print Media, Electronic Media and mutually benefiting Partnerships.
- What is your vision?
To become the comprehensive hub for Trade, Culture and Sport information about and for Chitungwiza.
- Your progress so far?
PAST: Culture fund HICC Art Exhibition (09), Sanganayi Travel Expo (09/10/11), ZITF(10), CDHCU (10), Cookery Workshops, Saturday Kids Art Workshops (11), Sunday Church Services(10, 11).
TARGET 2012: Locally: ZITF 2012, Harare Agriculture Show, HIFA, NGO EXPO, BOOK Fair etc
Outside: Neighbouring Countries Trade and Cultural Exhibitions/ Fairs.
- Where are you located?
Along the main internal main road linking Zengeza and Seke, near Utano Health Centre, diagonally opposite Citimed (Southmed) in Zengeza 4. It’s the building that was formerly Dambanevana Creche.
- Who formed it?
It was formed by the key stakeholders of the city i.e Residents, Business, Organisations in partnership with the Municipality through their representations.
- Who runs it?
We are an independent, apolitical and non profit organisation which is run bt a board of Directorswhish is made up of Chitungwiza stakeholders.
- Where do we fit in?
Through the activities (through Exhibitions, Workshops, Print Media, Electronic Media) that we carry out and participate in, and centred around your service(s)/ good(s) we present an opportunity for your organization for product branding, adoption as official product status advertising, flyers/brochures distribution etc through your part or full sponsorship program(s).
Welcome to Chitungwiza
May we wecome you to our first issue of our organisation’s first official newsletter.
Through this, we will attempt to open up and dissect trade, cultural and sport activities happening in and surrounding Chitungwiza. Many a people would want to know what is Chitungwiza, where is it, what’s up there? Besides some events that get the lime light, there is great potential for trade, cultural and sporting activities in Chitungwiza. We would love to take this opportunity to provide a platform for open dialogue and discussion to talk about and for the benefit of Chitungwiza. We all have our individual differences(individual or organisational) but in the end, it’s our city. Let’s accept our differences and move forward in building it and leaving a legacy for yourselves. Such a for a like this, present itself to you, within/ beyond/ individual or organization to make appositive/constructive difference. It is not always about me, sometimes it is about us. “Chara chimwe hachitswanye inda. Chako wega mukondo wesadza.” Here is to a happy and prosperous 2012 to you all, big and small.
