The workshop started with a performance from Tonderai who was acting out 2 stories from the ‘Harare Files’ which was launched at HIFA 2011. The stories are about ‘Operation Murambatsvina’ and how it affected the society.
After this brilliant short performance, then discussion started. People were discussing about how this and many other events that have occurred have affected our societies. The most important point being brought up being that, theatre and art as a whole, should bring out all the people’s experiences. It should also be used as a way of bringing out the solutions that people can use to curb or prevent such situations from arising. Continue reading
