“I am proud to be a Zimbabwean brand and to be representing our tourism and our seven wonders, well I am the Victoria Falls I think,” she declared, confidently.

There are concerns however that she did not have ample time to prepare because it has been a few weeks since she was crowned queen.

Morgen does not seem perturbed by this and has assured the nation not to worry because she may only have been the queen for 20 days and counting but she has been modeling for a very long time.

“I was born ready, I have been modeling for a very long time and I have been working towards a goal and a dream for years. Of course there is pressure but they say diamonds are created under pressure and I am a black diamond,” said Morgen.

To make sure that there will be ample time for preparations next year, the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe Patron, Barbara Mzembi has announced that come next year, the Zimbabwe finals will be held much earlier in the year.

“To be honest, next year we are going to hold the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe early so that we have more time to prepare for the Miss Tourism World,” Barbara Mzembi said.

The Tourism Minster’s wife also took the opportunity to thank the sponsors who made Morgan’s trip for Miss Tourism World possible. They include Kenya Airways, Zuvva, Zaron, Skin Spa, Orchid, Dream Tree, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Ndau Collection, Jafuta Foundation and Designer Closet.

Kenya Airways country manager-Zimbabwe, Stella Ndunge took the opportunity to congratulate Morgen and wish her the best of luck.

“We at Kenya Airways are delighted to sponsor air tickets for Miss Tourism Zimbabwe…. . To Ashley, you have all our support, we are really proud of you,” she said.

The Miss Tourism Zimbabwe official prize handover ceremony will be on January 6, 2017.
