“There is no way of separating Bryan K and the music, so if the music has evolved it also means Bryan K has evolved because the music is who I am,” said a confident Bryan K ahead of his second album launch slated for Chinhoyi’s Mzimba shopping centre this Saturday.

But why launch in Chinhoyi when most of his gigs are are in the capital?

“Most times we focus on Harare and forget to attend to the rest of Zimbabwe, Chinhoyi is my hometown so I’m launching my album there because I want to give them a taste of the music first before I go anywhere else,” he responded.

“The focus on this album titled Evolution K is to get the message out there and reach new audience who have never heard of Bryan K so pushing outside Harare will definitely help achieve that.”

It is rare to see Bryan host gigs in areas not populated with regular patrons. So it is difficult to judge his clout.

Will this change going forward? He said, “I always set up my own gigs in venues that already have a buzz because it’s easier to get people to come to venues they are used to that to introduce them to places they are not familiar with, so I will continue with that approach.”

The ‘Heavy Machine” singer said he will definitely be shooting visuals for some of the songs on the album like.

“The most likely videos will be for tracks Pole Pole, Kire and Kumusha. The plan is to shoot visuals for all the songs on the project,” said Bryan.

Bryan K who has been clinching good corporate deals will be supported by CBZ bank on the launch.

“Our major partner is CBZ, we also have Charlie Stevens International, Edgars and Rent a Jap.”
