A new high end fashion boutique in Harare’s Avondale suburb announced its presence with a fashion show over the weekend, showcasing outfits which were met with applause and instant purchases afterwards.
Editor –in-Chief of blog, fashionising.com Daniel P Dykes once profoundly put it, “Whether we choose to consciously compute the fact or not, how we look does impact the way we feel.” Now that we have settled into 2013, for the die-hard fashionista, a successful year is no doubt tied to how you look because if you look good, you feel good. Zimbo Jam spoke to some of our favourite local fashion designers, stylists and writers and they dished what they saw through their style crystal balls.

Multi-talented wordsmith, Aura Kawanzaruwa will be launching a jewellery line under the 'Nafuna by Design' brand this month. The pieces made from semi precious stones, gemstones, glass coats and beads will be sold online after the launch (date still to be confirmed but we will keep you updated).
It’s 3pm, and I walk into shoe haven, Addicted 2 Shoes at Sam Levy’s Village and I’m not sure what to expect. But all my nerves are tossed away in an instant when Pokello Nare comes over and welcomes me with the warmest smile even though she was clearly in the middle of something with a client.
Made in Zimbabwe. That will be the theme for Zimbabwe’s first clothing indaba which takes place from November 16-17, 2012 in Harare and which will seek to provide new stitching for an industry that was ripped to shreds by Zimbabwe’s political and economic crisis (2001-2008).
