Twelve Zimbabwean designers came together to exhibit their extraordinary talent on September 3, 2016. The venue was Five Avenue shopping centre and the occasion was ‘September Fashion Issue: the Edge’.
Before walking into the venue, I didn’t think anyone could pull off an event at a shopping centre that would have the glits and glam of professional modelling shows. I could not have been farther from the truth.
Exquisite dresses, lights, cameras, celebrities–the ‘September Fashion Issue’ had all the markings of a world-class fashion show.
The designs showed their maturity and experience. With amazing, edgy and adventurous designs, the fashion show reflected Zimbabwe’s progress in the fashion industry. Below are some of the designs from the show.
It was a great show, and we look forward to the one next year.
