Visit Thailand in Harare

Go to Thailand on a $20 budget--by car no less! You will arrive in less than 30 minutes when coming from Harare city centre. Experience the rich curries and soak them up with a mop of noodles or ball of rice. I did! On Thursday night, a colleague and I went to Chang Thai restaurant on 83 Churchill Avenue. The restaurant used to be located in Msasa, but moved closer to the centre which we are ever-grateful for.

Mimi’s 5 Mauritius Musts

It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to spend 5 heavenly days on Africa’s Paradise Island, the stunning Mauritius. Calling All Foodies to African Affair Restaurant

Spook House the New Cool Chillspot

Imagine a weekend in Harare with nowhere to go, chill, drink and have a good old time. The threat of such a weekend seemed imminent especially in the last couple of months which have seen popular venues such as Book Café and Misty’s shut down.

Vampire Vignette (Musazoti Vinaigrette)

Seven Africans were walking down the street in Bucharest with the backdrop of Old Princely Court, Dracula’s home. Nope, that’s not the start of a bad joke. This actually happened just a few weeks ago when we were gathered for the “Unlikely Allies” event at the Impact Hub Network in Romania.

A Zimbo in Transylvania

Cluj Napoca, Zimbo Jam is in the house, and we love your city. You may be reading this and thinking where the Sekuru Kaguvi is this place, and I felt exactly the same way, until Grandpa Google showed me a map of Romania.
