Nigeria Takes 2012 Caine Prize

Nigeria’s Rotimi Babatunde is this year’s winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing.  Babatunde was picked from a shortlist of five writers who included Zimbabwe’s Melissa Tandiwe Myambo for her critically acclaimed short story, La Salle de Départ.

Busy Weekend Ahead for Roki

Ousted Big Brother Africa Housemate, Roki, has a busy weekend ahead of him. Firstly, on Saturday June 30, 2012, he will be part of a gig being thrown in honour of Zimbabwe's representatives to Big Brother Stargame and that evening he performs at the Harare International Conference Centre as one of the opening acts for Oliver Mtukudzi and Sulumani Chimbetu.

Congo Fever in Harare

Saturday June 30, 2012 is the Congolese  Independence Day and the Alliance Française will host a fun-filled event titled 'Congo Fever' featuring music, a Congolese craft market and Congolese cuisine.
