Albert NyathiRenowned Zimbabwean poet, Albert Nyathi, on Tuesday performed (August 17) for all of SADC’s Heads of State at the 30th Anniversary of the regional body in Windhoek, Namibia. He is the sole artist who was brought in from outside the country, in a landmark arrangement between the SADC Secretariat and Artists Trust of Southern Africa (ARTSA).

ChiwonisoThe organisers of Zimfest have announced that this year’s festival will not have the traditional day long Saturday event. However, the two day festival will feature a business networking event and a headline benefit concert titled Zimbabwe Rocks in aid of WeZimbabwe and Ndoro Children’s Charity which will include performances by Zimbabwe’s internationally renowned Mbira Queen, Chiwoniso Maraire and other acts.
