A scene from one of the films to be screened during Francophone WeekVarious Francophone countries represented in Zimbabwe will next week put on a number of activities to celebrate the annual Francophone Week. These will include film screenings, dictations and an awards ceremony for a schools French poetry competition that will see the winner getting an all expenses paid trip to France.

Talent, Rudo and Winnet- Vagina WarriorsHow do you teach a woman, brought up with years of being told that her vagina and sexuality are things not to be talked about and definitely not to be proud of - to embrace that part of her body, that sexual nature and celebrate them? A group of young Zimbabwean women is on a crusade to do just that. They call themselves the Vagina Warriors.

Praise NyandimuPraise Nyandimu, the 2008 CBZ A Academy winner will be one of the highlights of this year’s International Women’s Day commemoration, sponsored by the International Cultural Centres and to be held once again at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. The Bulawayo based songstress arrived in the capital this week and told The Zimbo Jam that she was raring to give the performance of her life.
