The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe has released the dates for the celebration of Culture Week this year. The theme is Zimbabwe’s Cultural Diversity at 30 and events will look at how well we have preserved and embraced different cultures around the country.

In a statement, the National Arts Council said: “A nation’s identity is characterized by its culture- diversified in nature- a culture that distinguishes it from the rest of the nations as a globalized world. As a nation, we are identified as Zimbabweans mainly because of our diverse culture.”

Culture Week will this year be launched with a ceremony in Matebeleland North, which is this year’s launch province and will run from 15-22 May.

If you are not black you don't feel celebrated. If you are not a man you don't feel celebrated. If you are not in one of the major city centres you don't feel celebrated. Reply 0   0
