Artists Supporting Artists Show Marred by Poor Organisation Print E-mail

Artists entertaining artistsThe Artists Supporting Artists concert held at Milton Park Bowling Club over the weekend featured an impressive line up of artists but was marred by poor planning. The show started about three hours late and when the power went about an hour later there was no generator at hand to keep the show going.

Busi NcubeThe month of November has now been claimed as Zimbabwe Musicians’ Month in a new artists’ initiative, spearheaded by popular afro diva Busi Ncube and branded  Artists Supporting Artists. The project is being established to create a platform to raise support for artists in times of need through music performances by top and upcoming musicians of Zimbabwe.

Ibumba festival- set to be bigger this yearChristmas comes early in the “City of Kings”, as the stage for the 2009 edition of Ibumba international festival, which promises to be bigger, is now set. The festival will run for 15 days starting on the 8th and finishing on the 22nd of December 2009. The theme is “The Music, The Dance, The Theatre, and The Celebration.”
