The next day will feature a poetry slam with Roxanne ‘Sista Xapa’ Mathazia. This will be held in the midst of an all day craft fair where visitors to the gallery will be able to purchase creative presents for their loved ones.

For all the fashion lovers, there will be a fashion show featuring Designers Anisha Mudanhi and Samantha Dika. The show will be held with the purpose of creating awareness about the environment and social causes, paying particular attention to the Flame Lily. The lily is the national flower and has been classified as an endangered species.

Starting at 3pm will be a concert titled In Love with Sereia featuring a young talented Mozambican Jazz singer, Sereia Goromondo, who has been living in Zimbabwe for the last 10 years.

Also at the gallery will be child art classes being held on the Saturday morning. For the grown ups, professional artist Pip Curling will lead a Life Drawing class with a model. Interested participants are invited to bring their own materials and to secure a place by booking in advance.

Participants in these activities stand a chance of winning hampers, vouchers and wines.

It's great to see the National Gallery being proactive and going out there to
get people to come to them.

Hi Samantha. Look forward to seeing your work at the show. Sorry you couldn't
make it for Miss Zim.
