NoViolet Bulawayo Wins Caine Prize

NoViolet BulawayoZimbabwean writer Elizabeth Tshele, more commonly known as NoViolet Bulawayo, was last night (July 11, 2011) announced as this year’s winner of the £10 000 Caine Prize for African Writing at a dinner held at the Bodleian Library in Oxford, South East England.

Chingono & Eppel Come Together in Print

John EppelWhen the late Julius Chingono met John Eppel at the Intwasa Arts Festival in 2007, an instant bond of friendship began to form and the two writers decided to work on a collaborative project. That project will be launched in Bulawayo this afternoon and unfortunately only one of the two contributors will be there to witness it.
