Entries are being invited from high schools and colleges throughout the country. Students will write a 500 word essay with the title: “What hope does Barack Obama embody for you as an African youth in the 21st century?” Participating students stand a chance to win a cash prize and free membership to the U.S. Educational Advising Center while their respective schools receive a collection of reference books. The winners will be invited to a ceremony in Harare in February where U.S. Ambassador Charles Ray will honor them.
