DStv is popping up!

Heroes set to Pop up on your DSTV

For a while now, DStv has been running pop-up channels in a bid to spice up content it gives its subscribers. The idea is working well as subscribers get a taste of the unexpected.

After the success of April’s M-Net Movies Marvel Studios pop-up channel, another pop-up treat is on the cards with the M-Net Movies Bang Bang Heroes channel.

“This is yet another unique pop-up offering featuring an adrenalin-fuelled TV experience for DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact viewers,” said publicity and public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, Liz Dziva.

The pop-up channel will run for 24 days, starting Friday May 18 to Sunday June 10, with more than 90 movies starring world cinema’s most revered action legends such as; Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris amongst many others.

“Pop-up channels are a real bit in Zimbabwe and these action movies will make the next pop-up channel a must-see for fans of the excitement of action adventure,” added Dziva.

Viewers will get to see eight films each day, and each of the actions stars will have their own time in the limelight for one day during prime time.

Continued Dziva: “For example, on Friday May 18, Sylvester Stallone will strut his stuff in Get Carter, Cobra and Over The Top. On Saturday May 19 Jason Statham will be seen in The Transporter, The Mechanic Resurrection and Parker and on Sunday May 20 Jet Li moves into action with The One, Romeo Must Die, and Dragon Fight.”

All three ‘Expendables’ films will be broadcast on Sunday June 10 between 4.30pm and 8pm.

The full schedule can be seen on https://m-net.dstv.com/movies or on DStv.com under printable schedules, as well as on the Electronic Programming Guide on decoders.

Meanwhile, viewers will have front-row seats at the wedding of the year, that of Britain’s Prince Harry to actress Meghan Markle.

“It has been a fairy tale in the making and viewers will join millions around the world to watch the build-up and the ceremony which takes place on Saturday May 19,” said Dziva.

The wedding will be aired live on E! Entertainment from 12 noon Zimbabwean time, while ITV Choice starts coverage at 10:30am.
