Some performances truly deserve to be on the main stage of the Shoko Festival come next year. One such act was that of Gemma Griffiths.

After an amazing performance Griffiths could not hide her joy. In an exclusive interview with Zimbo Jam, she revealed how thrilled and humbled she was by the turn out.

“I am very excited to be here. I am overwhelmed with the love and the support I am getting” said Griffiths.

“I love Zimbabwe and Zimbabwean music and I want to share Zimbabwe with the world” she added.

The crowd was on their feet when she was performing and after she got off the small stage, people were queuing for autographs and selfies.

Originally from Cape Town, the songbird spoiled the joyful crowd when she performed her latest cover of Cythia Mare’s song titled ‘Dai Zvaibvira’. This was a sentimental moment for her in that it was the first time ever to sing the song in front of a crowd.

The more she sang the more the crowd grew.

Griffiths also played some of her own songs and finally she iced the cake by singing the much-anticipated cover of Winky D’s song, Musarove Big Man.
