The long awaited album was recorded at Thulani Studios, and features some of Zimbabwe's greatest musicians including Oliver 'Tuku' Mutukudzi, Andy Brown, Adam Chisvo, Clive 'Mono' Mukundu and Jairos Hambahamba, among others. Of the tracks sampled by ZimboJam, Tight features Tuku in a track titled Dzokai Waro in which they praise God, and urge people to turn to God for help and salvation. Another track- Inguvai is equally good. Besides this latest album- Kuzangoma, Tight has two other albums to his name, namely; Ndoda Wangu (2000) and Hodzeko (2002), as well numerous collaborative albums and tracks with the likes of Dino Mudondo and Mateo and friends. Willom Tight and Dino Mudondo were one of the tightest combinations in the history of Zimbabwe's music. The two musicians parted ways controversially, and their separation is still surrounded by controversy. Since they parted ways, they have been engaging in solo projects which are yet to match the intensity and the success of their combined efforts. Share this page... |
