As talk of whether the international collaborations route taken by Jah Prayzah continues amongst music critics, on the ground the endeavour seems to be paying off as Jah scores big deals.

Early in the year he earned himself a slot on this year’s edition of Coke Studio Africa and just recently he was roped in on a track that features big names such as Akon and P-Sqaure to be released this June – this all because these collaborations are exposing him to the bigger global audience.

The action is also happening on the live stage side as he is now getting invites to perform on some of the biggest platforms in Africa.

This year he has wowed many at Baseline Festival as well as the MTN Bush Fire Festival, also not forgetting his tour with Cassper Nyovest.

Now tomorrow, Saturday October 7, 2017, exactly a week before his eighth studio album ‘Kutonga Kwaro’ is launched, the ‘Goto’ singer will share the stage with some of the biggest artists on the continent as he debuts at the Mangaung African Cultural Festival (MACUFE).

Jah will be jamming alongside the likes of Prince KB, Busiswa, Ringo, Tshepo Tshola, Amanda Black and Sipho Mabuse.

However, the two acts that are also on the lineup and have gotten Jah’s camp even more excited are Mafikizolo and Davido – acts that he has just recently collaborated with.

“We are excited to be given this opportunity to perform on such a big stage and alongside such great artists. This has always been our dream, to have our music accepted and appreciated in other countries besides our lovely Zimbabwe that has made us who we are today,” said Jah’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze.

He added that there might be a possibility for them to perform at least one of their tracks with either Mafikizolo or Davido tomorrow at the 17 000 seater, Rose Garden, Loch Logan.

“What also excites us is that for the first time we will be sharing the stage with Davido. This gives us a feel of what the atmosphere will be like come next week Friday at the HICC when he comes through to perform at Jah’s album launch,” continued Mushapaidze.

This year sees MACUFE celebrate its 20th anniversary.

“This festival has from humble beginnings grown from strength to strength and has undoubtedly reached international stature. Over 20 years of its existence the festival can pride itself for milestones such as; contribution to tourism and economic growth, attracting international, national and local artists as well as empowerment and promotion of small and medium enterprises,” read a statement from the MACUFE website.
