Rooftop Promotions, emotion provoking play, ‘Lamentations @12’ has begun it’s international tour.
The two-man show looks at the abuse of a female child at the tender age of 12 during the Zimbabwean liberation struggle, as well as abuse the abuse that females continue to face today. The show premiered at Uganda’s Bayimba Festival yesterday at the National Theatre of Uganda–this venue sit 360 audience members.
“Lamentations @12 becomes the first Zimbabwean play to be performed at such a platform,”said producer of the show, Daves Guzha.
“We have one more performance at Bayimba that is happening tomorrow at the same venue.
“From here we will be headed to Kenya where we have four performances from Tuesday to Friday at various venues.
“We are back in Zimbabwe on September 24 and on September 27 we will continue with our national tour which started in Karoi last week.
“Upon our return we will be in Mutare first which leads us to Intwasa Festival on September 30 before we head for Victoria Falls and Hwange,” revealed Guzha.
