In doing so, I decided to ask 14 inspiring Zimbabweans to give us the best advice they know on how to achieve one’s goals.  The following are a small minority of the many individuals from area code 263 and now all over the world, who continue to raise our flag high and to make this world a more positive place to live.

One of them sent us her memories of the man she once called "sir."

Suzy BellOn the eve of the World Cup finals, especially amongst Spanish communities and others who are just crazy about football, sounds of jubilation and vuvuzelas were rife in the air across South Africa. Elsewhere- same beautiful country, same beautiful time- it was the sounds of guns as three Somali men were shot down at point blank in what was suspected to be the first post World Cup xenophobia case. Or was it just the fear of xenophobia that could be smelt in the air that made everything pass for what it could be than what it really was?
