Speaking to Zimbo Jam Zimpride team leader Sharon Mandaza said, “Drawing inspiration from China that has its own social media platform we decided to try it out in our own country and create a social platform that will cater for Zimbabweans only hence the name Zimpride.”

The site will be launched at Belgravia Sports Club on Saturday July 12 alongside the inaugural Miss Zimpride beauty pageant.

To shed light on the pageant Mandaza said, “We held auditions on Saturday May 17 and now we have fifteen girls in camp preparing for the big day when they will be battling out for the title.”

The girls will be battling for the Zimpride Ambassador title as well as a fashion makeover.

Zimpride platform can be accessed on www.zimpride.com and via this platform companies can advertise, followers can video chat as well as send audio notes even to face book followers.
