The Hub will be a vibrant gathering to debate new media, citizen journalism and technology and also create a powerful space to share, analyse and map ways to open up societies.

On the panel will be the creator of 263 Chat Sir Nige together with the founder of three time NAMA award winning online arts and culture publication Zimbojam, Fungai Tichawangana.

Also present will be Zimbabwe’s sole representative and finalist at the recently held Africa connected awards dubbed “Google awards” founder of Nafuna TV Nqobizitha Mlilo alongside editor of World Social Youth Award winning local online publication Kalabash Media Nick Monro plus Zenzele Ndebele of Radio Dialogue and blogger Liz Nyamuda.

The Hub is a part of Shoko Festival which is Zimbabwe’s fastest growing international arts festival brought to you by Magamba Network, the festival is set from 25th – 28th September 2014 and will feature a Hub Un-conference plus workshops and trainings on new media.

The Hub will end in Bulawayo at the National gallery on Thursday April 10.
