Heavenly Praise Choral Festivals- logoWith the continued proliferation of churches, often with divergent views and interpretations of the Word of God it’s always good to see them coming together for a joint project. One such project is the annual Heavenly Praise Choral Music Festival which will take place this year from November through December at different venues around Zimbabwe. Over 170 choirs will take part.

The first Heavenly Praise Choral Music Festival was held on 8th December 2001 at the Harare International Conference Centre.  This came about after a meeting of Interdenominational leaders in July of the same year.

Sponsored by PG Building Supplies, Econet Holdings & National Discount House (NDH), the festival is themed  Building The Nation On A Firm Foundation For The Kingdom Of God.

Its objectives include building musical skills that will “lead choristers to emerge as musically sensitive and critical individuals with the capacity to play a significant role in their lives and in their churches;”, preaching the word of God through choirs singing in their different churches and promoting of Christian fellowship among the various  denominations of Zimbabwe.
