The Met Department had warned on Thursday that there would be chances of flash floods in the coming days. What they didn’t tell us was that the storm front would be a Reggae superstar from Jamaica by the name of Sizzla Kalonji, and the flood would be a human one.

When Reggae superstar Sizzla Kalonji came onto the stage, just after 0200hrs on Sunday morning (28 Feb 2010), for his performance at the 21st February Movement gala held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Grounds pandemonium ensued.

One of Swaziland's fastest rising Hip Hop artists Phephile Hlope a.k.a. Jazz P will this weekend land in Harare for a Mannenberg performance with Zimbabwe's explosive upcoming dancehall reggae princess Thanda Richardson. A collaboration between two such strong but different personalities is a recipe for serious fireworks.

This Saturday (27 February), the colourful soul-funk-r&b band Subway will perform at The Mannenberg, featuring upcoming songstress Lindsay Yon, as part of the dynamic programme for the promotion of women artists: FLAME (Female Literary, Arts and Music Enterprise) by Harare arts organisation, Pamberi Trust.
