The Annual Music Crossroads Gala had its 10th anniversary in Maputo Mozambique on 24th June (2009). The event was a private function where entrance was strictly by invitation. 12 groups from Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique and Zimbabwe performed. Mokoomba represented Zimbabwe and did us super proud.

Mokoomba was the 11th group to perform and as usual, they took the crowd to the dance floor despite tight acts showcased by other groups.

"It was hard for us to go on stage because we were number 11 but people danced to our tunes like they have heard our music before, it was awesome" Macdonald, a band member told The Zimbo Jam.

The band members of Mokoomba are:

• Abundance Mutori- Bass guitar
• Trust Samende- Lead
• Coaster Moyo- Drums
• Miti Mugande- Percussion
• Mcdonald Moyo- Keyboard
• Mathias Muzaza- Lead Vocals

The band was recently denied VISAs to Europe but it seems this has not deterred them and they continue to provide awesome entertainment.
