On Saturday June 30, 2012, Harare got a taste of DRC culture when the Alliance Francaise hosted a Congo independence celebrations day. The event featured crafts from the Congo (and Zimbabwe), cuisine from that country and scores of DRC nationals resident in Harare came along to celebrate.
There was also a dance competition and a performance from Energy Mutodi and the Real Sounds of Africa.
