The City Hall in Bulawayo is one of the major landmarks in the city. The Tower Block (far right in the picture) is another major building in the city, housing the City Council's offices.
Just in May this year (2012) there was a scare when allegations came out that the two buildings had been attached by Kingdom Bank after the City Council had supposedly failed to service a $5 million loan obtained to purchase refuse collection vehicles and cars for senior employees.
The City Council refuted these claims and said that the buildings were safely in their hands.
