^ Tuku, pictured at the Harare launch of his latest album, Dairai, (Andy Millar Hall) last week (26 June 2009). He held a South African launch for the album in May. "Dairai" is the music icon's middle name and he says that the album is based on the challenges he has gone through in life. The album was scheduled set for release in October last year but was delayed when pirated copies flooded the market. Dairai is Tuku's 56th album and is his first one featuring traditional acoustic instruments.
Tuku was joined at the launch by his son Sam (right). Though he thrilled the packed venue, there were some who felt that his dance repertoire (left) is not what it used to be. Share this bit of jam with your friends:           |
