Seasoned musician PJ Powers was honoured with SOS award named after the late journalists Sophia Chese and Sharon Muguwu at the Green Concert on Friday evening at the home of the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Authority.
“It was indeed a touching moment to witness Sharon’s presenting the award to PJ,” said guest of honour Minister Oppah Muchinguri, “that was an honourable thing that Dereck Mpofu did to recognise the contributions of these two late great journalists who penned their work in support of the clean environment.”
Several stakeholders were awarded for their endless contribution in support of environmental conservation followed by a dinner and entertainment from Mussa Effect, Pah Chihera with the best for last by the diva herself PJ Powers who made the crowd go wild with her famous hit songs.
The 57 year old PJ Powers proved that age is just a number, she still can rock the stage just like she used to in the yesteryear.
The choice of Doc Vikela as master of ceremonies was the best for chuckles came from everywhere during the whole occasion with his hilarious jests.
