In an exclusive interview with Zimbo Jam, BOFOZ coordinator, Tanaka Ngorora also confirmed that Virgo would be jetting into the country on Friday, September 16, latest.

“It’s a 100 percent confirmed, Chipaz promotion is our partner! They have extensive experience in coordinating both local and international artists for big events” said Ngorora.

“Virgo’s itinerary is slotted in for Friday but he could surprise us on Thursday if he connects with his band members who are in the USA,” he added.

Ngorora also exclusively told Zimbo Jam that Virgo hinted at dropping a new single and has also expressed interest in working with local artists.

Virgo will not be performing alone. He will share the stage with local artists Jah Prayzah, Soul Jah Love, Freeman, beat boxer Pro Beatz and Dobba Don.

As far as the event itself, Ngorora was excited to reveal that all the logistics are at an advanced stage and they have managed to tick everything that was on their to-do list. All they are waiting for now is the day of the event.

The event itself is projected to grow in terms of attendance.  According to the organisers, last year’s event had a huge turn out and some people were turned away because the venue could not accommodate everyone hence their decision to move to a bigger venue, Glamis Arena.

Nonetheless, Ngorora stated that the event has potential to grow even bigger but sponsorship challenges are inhibiting growth.

“Sponsorship to grow the promotion and nationalise the promotion has been limited. Romain Virgo could not even do a tourist destination site visit to promote the country’s tourism industry,” said Ngorora.
