Any staunch hip hop fan will know that the crème de la crème of hip hop is always on the Shoko stage and this year is no exception.

Shoko Festival 2017 hip hop night is set  to be a super dope one with South African star, Emtee headlining the event on Friday September 29.

He will be handling business back to back with Zimbabwean acts; Cal_Vin, Guluva Sev7en, Ti Gonzi and Tulk Munny at the main festival site, the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences

“The Hip Hop night will be headed up by the multi–award winning South African Hip Hop artist Emtee who has topped African Hip Hop charts with his tracks Roll Up, We Up, Ngake and Pearl Thusi,” read a statement from festival organisers.

Emtee’s debut album Avery earned him critical acclaim and went platinum in South Africa.

“We’re really excited to be able to offer Zim Hip Hop fans such a stellar line up”, says Shoko Festival Director, Comrade Fatso, “We have one of Africa’s biggest names in hip hop Emtee alongside our own award-winning rapper Cal_Vin and rising stars like Tulk Munny and Higher Culture. This will be a really electric night for Hip Hop fans!”

Shoko Festival is always a major event to watch out for on the Zimbabwe Hip Hop calendar with previous editions having featured performances from Cassper Nyovest, AKA, Khuli Chana, Tehn Diamond and Junior Brown.
