Freshly wedded, bluetooth headset lover, Suluman Chimbetu, will be the headline act for the inaugural Lake December Festival, set for Lake Chivero this weekend.

The festival, set for this Saturday, December 10, 2016 will see award-winning dendera musician, who recently dropped his new album, ‘Jamboree’ sampling some of the tracks at the event.

“Preparations for the festival are going on very well. We are trying to make sure that all issues of security, food and beverages are all in order so that the people coming will have a great time,” said one of the chief organisers, Terry Joh.

“Beer and food will be available at give away prices. Family time during the day, with kids having jumping castles and an opportunity to see their favorite artists and have boat rides with them.

“We are setting up a new trend of joy at the Lake, that fuses live artistic performances, braai and drinking.

“It’s all in all an entertainment fiesta combo especially for those merry makers who appreciate nature,” he added.

A confident Joh said he wasn’t afraid that fans would not pitch to his event given that Sulu has another gig at the Harare International Conference Centre on the same day.

“Our venue and nature of show pulls a different audience than the one Sulu will be serving in the afternoon at the HICC.

“Note we have a private lounge for VVIP in the evening, coupled with beautiful sunset view, plus  lots of braai. This alone, defines a certain class of merry makers who need a better way to end the year and they cannot get that at the HICC so people will definitely come through.

“No need for any rain fears. All is in order for people to party without rain disturbance,” said Joh.

Other artists set to perform at the event are Ammara Brown, Andy Muridzo, and Killer T amongst many others.

The event follows the Lake July DJ Festival held earlier in the year which did not draw as many people as expected.
