Over the past 6 weeks, a group of 30 young Zimbabweans joined a group of 500 African leaders for the Mandela Washington Fellowship, also known as the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI). The programme took these young achievers to university campuses across the United States, and culminated in a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.

Towards the end of 2014 there were many gatherings spearheaded by the Jibilika Dance Trust that took place at the Book Café running under the theme of a 'cypher'. At these events, there was a lot of dancing mixed with some of hip hop and dancehall performances.
