It’s all smiles at Zimbabwe's first creative hub, Moto Republik, as an out of court agreement between the management of the hub and the Harare City Council saved the architecturally appealing structure from demolition.
“We were just as shocked as many people when the city council came through last week wanting to demolish the space. We have been here for close to one and a half years and we had constructed everything with the approval from council. So we were really shocked to see them come here saying they wanted to demolish the space,” said Cde Fatso one of the co-founders of Moto Republik.
Moto Republik has maintained an adamant position in which they have vowed to fight the Harare City Council’s move to demolish their alleged illegally structured offices.
