When I saw Jurassic Park as a 7-year-old boy, it captured my imagination and, from that time on, I became obsessed with dinosaurs. Well, until I watched The Lion King a couple of years later, when my obsession switched to African animals. And after that, Toy Story sparked a renewed interest in my action toys. You get the idea.

Paddington Charms at Africa Premiere

MOVIE  REVIEW | I had the ‘Great’ delight of attending the African premiere of Paddington at the plush Sam Levy’s Village Ster Kinekor cinemas on Thursday last week. The British Embassy in Harare decided to get in on the talking-brown-bear act by associating themselves with this most British product in the hopes of broadening  positive outlook on the United Kingdom and especially the city of London, where most of the action in the story takes place.

Movie Review: The Hobbit Comes to Town

Greetings, movie lovers! I love going to the cinema and savouring the whole movie-going experience – from obtaining your ticket and buying movie-going accoutrements such as popcorn, a soft drink and maybe a “candy bar” (essential ingredients to such a recreation, in my opinion) to finding yourself in the aisles, making your way to the seat of your choice, sitting down and allowing yourself to escape from reality.
