The National Arts Gallery of Zimbabwe will, on November 4, 2016, host ‘The First Friday Event’.
The programme mainly targets the youth and provides them with a platform to interact while listening to their favorite music and showcasing their art.
To kick-start this initiative is the trio hip-hop group called the ‘Monkey Nuts.’ The group gave a spirited performance at the recently-ended Shoko Festival were they rocked the stage with a mix of Rock, Hip Hop and Afro-Electro Music.
There will be an art sale at the occasion consisting of pieces from a wide variety of visual artists. The event also offers individuals access to running exhibitions in the Gallery thus creating a multifaceted ambience for culture lovers.
Admission fee is $5 and entry is free for all card-carrying ‘Friends of the Gallery.’
