The day has come for the most anticipated comedy gig of the year to go down.

After a solid 16 years away from home, training in the USA, comedian, Alfred Kainga will tonight stage his first gig in the country at Reps Theatre, and we will see just why audiences in America have been making a lot of noise about him.

“Ticket sales have been good. We will have a good crowd tonight,” said show organisers, Xtratime Entertainment.

“Our host, Q Dube  will open the show followed by Long John, who will do a comprehensive set showcasing the experience he has gained from his South African tour were he has been in the past six months. Kainga will come after and end the show,” they explained.

On why they chose to do one comedy gig this year as compared to the two or three they usually host, they said, “We did one comedy event this year because we were setting up an office in Australia. Tonderai Mwaita one of our directors is doing just that. We were involved in shows in Johannesburg early in the year and we have an upcoming musical show in Cape Town soon.”

However, they also hinted on the possibility of another comedy show in December.
