Saint Emilion is a beautiful little town, close to Bordeaux, within the Aquitaine region. It is so beautiful and special that it was named a World Heritage sight by UNESCO. Walking there is transporting yourself to the Romans times around the 2nd century or maybe to Emilion’s times in the 8th century, the traveling confessor monk who settled there in a hermitage carved into a rock.

The church is so special that you can really have a spiritual connection directly to God (I recommend you to visit the Blessed Sacrament and pray). The sunlight that traverses the stained glass windows gives the space a very special touch and colour which complement the very soft Gregorian singing in the background. Thanks to Emilion and the monks who followed him! This region started the commercial wine production, which is nowadays very well known.
