Wycliffe Mundopa, Gresham Nyaude and Moffat Takadiwa put up a lovely exhibition at their brand new Chinembiri Studios in Mbare, on Saturday 15 March 2014.

The exhibition opening themed ‘Meet The Artist’, was attended by a number of top players in the visual arts sector, chief amongst them were curator of the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, Raphael Chikukwa, the legendary Tapfuma Gutsa and Nancy Mteki.

Moffat shows his art skills by using recycled garbage that he picks around Mbare while Gresham paints on the canvas.

Commenting on the rag that he used in one of his pieces, Gresham says “I was inspired by the fact that my wife and I expecting a baby so this inspired me to use rags for this type of art.”

The artists said they are recognised mostly internationally than locally where their art is bought that is why they held the ‘Meet The Artist’ exhibition to connect with the local audience.
