Saturday June 30, 2012 is the Congolese Independence Day and the Alliance Française will host a fun-filled event titled ‘Congo Fever’ featuring music, a Congolese craft market and Congolese cuisine.
This year the Democratic Republic of Congo celebrates 52 years of national freedom from Belgium.
The cultural day will begin from 10am and end at 5pm and the live music will be by Real sounds of Africa.
A Zimbabwean/ Congolese craft market will provide a shopping experience with a difference while visitors can sampe Congolese food and take part in a Rhumba dance competition, where a cash prize will be won.
