The new channel has been broadcasting on various social media platforms will now be available on Premium and Compact Plus packages on DStv channel 183.

Liz Dziva, publicity and, said, “It’s a new channel that brings viewers the thrill of nature during daily live safari shows from spectacular wildlife locations like South Africa’s Kruger Park, locations in Kwazulu-Natal, the Kalahari desert and Kenya’s Masai Mara, as well as many more locations still to be explored,” said public relations manager of MultiChoice Zimbabwe, Liz Dziva.

The team behind WildEarth, which is running on DStv until Wednesday November 25, believes that many people are losing their connection with nature, with consequent negative impact on their well-being and on wildlife.

“The broadcasts focus on making viewers feel like they are actually on a safari vehicle somewhere in Africa’s wildlife havens.

“The intention is not that viewers should be wowed and awed through gruesome or dramatic behaviour of wild animals, but rather to have serendipitous moments of unscripted magic that touch the heart and let them suspend their disbelief and feel as if they are there,” added Dziva.

Moving on, fans of martial arts and combat sports will have a wealth of entertainment coming their way when a new channel called Kix launches on DStv in October.

Kix is a channel launched in August 2009 and broadcasting from south-east Asia with a focus on martial arts and combat sports, and also features live tournaments of these activities.

The content on offer includes movies, series and live events from both eastern and western sources.
